Pen-y-garreg & Garreg-ddu Walk
Route #38
|
Pen-y-garreg and Garreg-ddu are the middle two Elan Valley reservoirs.
Our route uses small sheep paths high above Pen-y-garreg reservoir, then
a moorland path past a hill-top (Crugyn Ci) with wonderful views. Down
beside a rocky cascade, then field paths below high cliffs before climbing
across heather moorland and descending to Garreg-ddu reservoir. An easy
finish along the Elan Valley Trail beside the two reservoirs.
