Cwmystwyth Walk
Route #36
|
The walk starts on a waymarked path on the Hafod estate, and then climbs
through Caermeirch SSSI onto open moorland with fine views. It then crosses
open hill country to reach The Arch, built to commemorate the golden jubilee
of King George III. High paths and tracks, with fine views of the hills,
then lead via historic Gelmast farm to the village of Cwmystwyth, from
where riverside paths lead back to the Hafod estate. Part of the Ystwyth
gorge is visited, plus the Alpine bridge and Ice House, on the final section.
