Tregaron Walk
Walking Route #34
|
Tregaron is a small and still very rural market town on the Brenig river
- a tributary of the Teifi. Our walk starts in Tregaron and follows very
small country lanes and then a footpath up the delightful Berwyn valley
to the east of the town. Returning on forest tracks and then a short stretch
of open country to the summit of Carn Fawr, with views of the mountains
of South Wales, the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire, and Plynlimon and
Cader Idris to the north. Easy footpaths and lanes back down to Tregaron
at the end of the walk.
Refreshments Cafés and pubs in Tregaron
Tregaron has a street market on alternate Tuesdays.
