A delightful grassy path over a saddle, then tracks in open country. Through Hafren forest on a path and forest roads, then out onto open land to the summit of Pumlumon Arwystli (via the source of the Severn - SR only). Then along a wide ridge, passing the sources of the Wye and Rheidol, to Plynlimon itself, and finally an easy descent. Superb panoramic views.
