Dinas Walk
Route #23
|
Dinas is the name of a hill and a reservoir near Ponterwyd, and signifies
that the hill is the site of an iron-age hill-fort. Our route follows
old tracks and by-ways, mostly through open hill country. Easy going underfoot
and wide, varied views. The routes split at Bwlch Nant-yr-arian Visitor
Centre, with the Standard Route taking a westward loop past Cwmbrwyno
and Cwmerfyn. The Short Option allows time to watch the red kite feeding
at the visitor centre, and rejoins the other route by taking a scenic
forest path.
