Hafod Waterfalls Walk
Route #9
|
Hafod mansion and the
Hafod estate were famous 200 years ago, thanks to the efforts of its visionary
owner, Thomas Johnes. This walk is an exploration, with the help of a
Forestry Commission trail, of features of interest in the former estate,
including a number of waterfalls. The route, whilst largely in forest,
does give fine walking by the river Ystwyth and some good views, and is
on easy tracks and paths, plus minor roads (to and from Pontrhydygroes)
on Standard Route.
Refreshments Hot & cold drinks and ice creams 2 miles from end of Standard Route.
