Mid Wales Walking Holiday Panoramas
|
The landscapes of Mid Wales are breathtaking, not so much
for the raw natural beauty that is so striking in more mountainous areas,
but for the wide horizons, the sense of space, and for the wild hill scenery
gently rolling into the distance. It is almost impossible to capture the
essence of these places in an ordinary photograph, so we are compiling
a small library of panoramas from some of our favourite viewpoints, to
try to give a better idea. Of course, nothing beats actually standing
there and seeing it for real!
Click the name for a standard-resolution panorama.
Most panoramas can be viewed at higher quality - click
HQ instead of the panorama name. The HQ option
gives a clearer image, much better results when you use the "zoom",
and is recommended if you are using broadband and/or don't mind waiting
a bit longer for the image to download.
N.B. You need to have the Java
Runtime Environment installed on your computer to view the panoramas;
if they don't work, you probably haven't got Java. It's a free download,
from http://www.java.com/en/
If you have installed Java, and
they still won't work, please let us know.
