Over half our custom results from
recommendations and repeat bookings, so you'd probably agree that the
comments of past Hillscape guests are as important as anything we can
say about ourselves!
Most of our guests make an
entry in The Hillscape Log - a book in which they can write about
their experiences, or draw, or paint..... or even compile Hillscape
crosswords, wax poetical, set riddles.... We never cease to be amazed at what
we find in the Log! The following are a few extracts from its pages.

If heaven is like
Blaen-y-ddôl, I may decide to stop sinning.
Anne, Wirral.
Good food and plenty of it - good
company, faultless written guides to the marvellous walks; Wales
itself did the rest. The internet site, though very good, could not do the
real thing justice. We plan to come back as soon as we can.
Lynne and Peter, Exeter.

A warm welcome, wonderful food,
good company and a large and veried selection of walks through fantastic
scenery. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable holiday
Janet and Bob, Formby.
Another lovely week - our 12th
year; new walks and the usual perfect hospitality.
Jim and Chris, Kenilworth.

Blaen-y-ddôl is the
house of our dreams
Surrounded by mountains and streams
And we thought we'd lose weight
Out walking till late -
But in fact we all broadened our beams!
Sally and Leon, Sussex.

Another special
week in this tranquil heaven. It was good to park the car and leave it for
the week. The very best place to stock up on good memories to last the rest
of the year.
Angella and Alan, Tamworth.

Dan and
- no, it's Everest, not Cader Idris!

Peace .... the
sound of the river, birds singing, sheep. Pleasant varied walks, well
planned, leaving us luxuriously tired! We've seen carpets of bluebells
every day, kites, buzzards, stonechats and all the mysterious "little
brown birds", picked St. George's mushrooms - and eaten them for
breakfast. Daphne,
Lincolnshire.

The friendly
hospitality; efficient yet unobtrusive service and organisation; the
peaceful, relaxing atmosphere in such a tranquil setting, and the
delicious, imaginative and wholesome food, all contributed to ensure this
was a very special, memorable and unique holiday.
Rosemary and George, Norfolk.
